How to change what Map Software your MLS website uses

Log in to your administrator and select Account Set Up > General Settings.

The third option down says 'Show "Map Location" Link on Property Pages:'. Your options are Google Maps, MapQuest, Yahoo Maps or RealBird Maps.

We suggest Google Maps, because of it's easy to use interface and the ability to view the location as a satellite image/map hybrid, where you can see the dunes, coastline, tree coverage, etc., in relation to the address.

If you find it to be missing the button on your addresses, you can switch it to MapQuest or Yahoo Maps, or to show no link to "map the location" at all. I hear that errors sometimes come up on many map sites in a highly developmental area like the Outer Banks.

You can also select "do not show map link" on an individual listing if an address isn't in the map systems yet, so as to not misdirect a potential buyer.

To do that, go to your admin screen and click on Listings > Active. Click on the listing you want to modify and select Edit Listing and then Modify Map Link. Here you can turn off the link so it will not appear on only this listing.
